Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork


  • Pork shoulder/Charsiew cut
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar 
  • 2 Tablespoons regular soy sauce 
  • 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon oyster sauce 
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 stalks lemongrass


  1. Mince the garlic, shallots and lemongrass together
  2. Marinade the pork with all the ingredients & minced paste for 20-30mins
  3. Either grill the pork the oven (ends up with a tougher texture) or pressure cook for 30mins and grill in oven to finish up for extra char.
